LTM FRIENDS MEETING TUESDAY 10 NOVEMBER 2015
Renowned documentary film maker Nick Lera presented a selection of films on the theme of Underground Steam Revival.
The meeting was in the Lecture Theatre at Acton Depot for an afternoon session comprising seven films the first being rare achieve footage showing actual activity on the Brill branch and Quainton Road railway station.
The following six sessions comprised MET 1 starring in the London Underground's "150 Year Celebrations" with First steam on the Met's pioneer route for over 40 years, plus 'Steam to Km Zero - Ongar' (2014 events).
After a short tea break the final session featured Met 1's celebrity tours of the Met branches. Hammersmith, Chesham, Uxbridge and Watford, 2014/15.
The whole afternoon was a veritable cornucopia of MET 1's adventures over the past two years with the promise that these films, of a very high quality, will be released on DVD shortly and should be available from the TfL Museum shop before Christmas.
