VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

Here is an interesting range of volunteering opportunities that the Centre needs to fill. If you can help for any of them please contact the Admin Office on 01296 655 720 for more information.

TRACTION ENGINE RALLY 23rd & 24th September - Marshalls

Our Rally Organiser, Adrian Aylward, has recruited a number of midweek volunteers to help marshall the Rally but more are needed to ensure a safe Rally for our visitors. The principal activity is to stand on the edges of the demonstration route which is around Rewley Road.

Interestingly the bit that most entrants find challenging is the rising ground near the cattle dock. As the route effectively passes through the crowds marshalls are needed to prevent squashed feet, children, etc. Its a 2 day event so you have the choice of Saturday or Sunday - or BOTH!

IN THE SHOP

Our Shop Manager, Sue Outen, is looking to expand her team of shop staff during the week. So, if you like meeting people, a job in the dry and out of the wind that is within arms reach of a kettle...

OCTOBER 11th - FINAL SCHOOLS DAY!

Peter Sawyer, our Education Officer, runs guided tours for school children and October 11th (Wednesday) is the last one for this year. Peter needs the help of others to take groups of children around. This activity brings in good revenue for the Centre which, as always, is badly needed.
