QUAINTON EMAIL LETTER 29/8/17

A BIG thank you!

Our Chairman writes:

"The Summer Season is nearing its end and as Chairman I would like to thank all those who have volunteered and worked through wind, rain and soaring temperatures - in a combination only a English Summer could could deliver.

One last Wednesday and then a two day Thomas event next weekend to come before we start the journey into Autumn and I am asking all to check their diaries and support next weekend's activities - we really need footplate crew and guard for the down side for both days and some further assistance for the imagination station.

Again thanks to all for their hard work and effort so far this year, being Station Master on a regular basis has allowed me to witness this firsthand and to here the high praise being shared by the visitors - let us all work together to maintain through to the end of the year.

Ben Jackson - Chairman Quainton Railway Society."

QUAINTON EMAIL LETTER 04.09.2017

RELAXING IN A CHAIR OUR CHAIRMAN WRITES:

"Once again I must thank and commend the Volunteers and Staff for their efforts over a Thomas weekend. Although we didn't reach the dizzy high of July 2016 for visitor numbers the Saturday was boosted by the good weather and saw the Centre buzzing.

Thanks to all those who pitched in and went the extra mile, which was pretty much everyone on site - all the smiling and happy faces on the children were great to see. We don't have the numbers yet and will share these once they are known.

Ben Jackson - Chairman Quainton Railway Society."
