PARKING THIS WEEKEND

This weekend sees the 2 day Fire Engine Rally with a Community & Services Day on the Saturday (22nd). There will be a range of visiting Fire Engines for our visitors to view.

Because of the use of the tarmac car park by our exhibitors you are politely requested NOT to park there this weekend. Alternative parking areas are on the approach to the Old Station, to the side/rear of Rewley Road and in the Buffer Depot.

Breakfasts will be available until 9:15am both mornings.

6989

Charlie Jones, working party leader on 6989 Whitwick Hall, tells me that on Monday this week the locomotive was shunted over the inspection pit for some minor attention before being returned to its shed. The locomotive is looking more complete every time I see it and I think a steaming date cannot be far away.
