QUAINTON EMAIL LETTER 20.02.2017

Sad news of Andrew Bratton

It is with very great sadness that I have to inform you that Andrew Bratton passed away yesterday evening. Andrew was so widely known by so many and did so many things for Quainton that it is very difficult to sum him up in just a few lines here. (Please view Members Obituaries for Tony's full tribute.)

Our current Chairman has sent me the following:

"Today's news in relation to the death of Andrew Bratton represents a great loss to Andrew's Quainton Railway Society family. Being a relatively 'new kid' I cannot claim to have known Andrew for that long or that well. Andrew willingly undertook many roles and activities, including Station Master duties, that others tend to shy away from and he was always open to a conversation to help me find my way as Chair.

No matter how great the loss to the Society it is an even greater loss for his immediate and personal family to whom our condolences and best wishes are sent.

Ben Jackson,
(Chairman - Quainton Railway Society Ltd)"

Funeral and wake arrangements will be announced in due course.

Below is the notice from our Membership Secretary, Bev Potter, with details of contact information.
