In the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre our audience will be greeted by Paddington, offered a complementary marmalade sandwich upon arrival, shared by the bear from under his own hat. This will be the very first time visitors will be able to watch a movie in this impressive setting. Louisa Richards of the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre adds Were thrilled to be hosting Vintage Cinema this April, adding a whole new dimension to our vintage offering!
This is our new Events Information page so that members are aware of activities at the BRC that do not necessarily appear on the BRC public web site. Our thanks to Emma and QEL for this resume.
I have been very busy with booking private functions for this year, great news for the centre as it means more money for the society! Only a few weekends left for the year which I hope to fill before too long.
We have a new venture coming to the railway which is a Vintage Cinema Company, please have a look at their website vintagecinema.com. If the 3/4 April are successful there will be more film nights to come. It looks like a fun family event if you fancy booking a ticket or two.
National Living History is a specialist fair aimed at the re-enactors of this world. If you are in need of unusual retail therapy, there's going to be some amazing stuff there! They have traders from Germany, Norway, Sweden, Ukraine and possibly Poland coming along.
There will be Charity Dance on the 24th June which is being organised by Emma Clarke in the village. Tickets will be available for anyone that would like to come along, the theme is yet to be confirmed.
