Introduce procedures to ensure that the Trustees apply robust leadership of the museum.

Draw up a Code of Practice for the Exec to ensure that:

  • the number of board meetings is reduced to quarterly intervals

  • produce proper minutes to be circulated within 7 days
  • meeting agendas focus on monitoring and forward planning
  • minutes of meetings record decisions and actions
  • the Exec reviews its performance annually
  • individual Trustees each take on responsibility for a discrete area of management
